Robert Anthony Nagy 90, of  Houston, Tx, passed from this life on September 226, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1935 to Margret Toth and Jospeh Nagy in Perth Amboy New Jersey.

Early Life

Robert A. Nagy was born on February 21, 1935, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to proud parents Margaret and Joseph Nagy. He grew up with his brother Joseph Nagy, who preceded him in death more than six years ago.

From a young age, Robert showed an inquisitive mind and a knack for problem-solving—traits that would shape his life and career.

Education and Career-

Robert pursued his passion for learning at Drexel University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering. His time at Drexel was not without a bit of adventure—he became somewhat of a campus legend after a memorable chemistry lab mishap that resulted in a small fire. His good humor and resilience turned what could have been a setback into a lifelong story told with a laugh and a wink.

Following graduation, Robert applied his engineering expertise to build and improve communities, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike through his dedication, work ethic, and integrity.

Family and Legacy

Robert loved spending time on the water. He had a deep passion for boating, fishing, and RVing, and often took his grandchildren on unforgettable trips to Galveston, where he shared his love for the outdoors and storytelling.

Remembering Robert

Robert will be remembered as a man of humor, and always ready to help a neighbor or friend in need.  He lived with curiosity, and a spirit of adventure—always ready to explore new places, fix what was broken, and solve a problem.

His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created with all who were fortunate to know him.

Robert's proudest accomplishments were not professional but personal. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Nagy, and their children: Kristine Nagy-Matasa, Karen Villanueva, and David Nagy. He was a devoted father and grandfather, blessed with three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Robert's life and legacy. Prince of Peace November 14, 2025 @ 10:30 AM.
