Robert LaReid Mosby
June 18, 1935 – May 21, 2019
Robert was born to James and Gladys Mosby on June 18, 1935 in Center, Texas. He attended Cleveland High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Patsy Aufill. Upon high school graduation, Robert and Patsy were married. In 1958, Robert received a BS degree from Sam Houston State University and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the US Army as a distinguished military graduate. Upon discharge, Robert was in pharmaceutical sales before opening Mosby Furniture in Tomball in 1971. Robert served on the boards of Sun Valley Methodist Church, as well as Cypress United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all family activities including camping, family reunions and attending his grandchildren's dance recitals, band concerts, sporting events and birthday celebrations. He often closed his furniture store early to be present at one of these events. Robert was known as a team grandpa and beloved by the neighborhood children. He lived a full life, enjoying his role as husband, father, uncle, and most of all "Pappy". Robert was preceded in death by his parents and son, Paul Mosby. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Patsy Aufill Mosby, son Scott Mosby, and daughter Charla Reese. Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie Reese, Michael Mosby, and Luke Mosby, as well as numerous other relatives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to TMR Donkey Rescue, or the charity of your choice.
