Robert Bruce McCauley, 66, of Tomball, Texas, passed away November 24th, 2023 in Lufkin, Texas. Bruce was born on April 25th, 1957, in Houston, Texas to Fred Robert McCauley and LaJoyce White McCauley.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kassidy Lain McCauley. He is survived by his sister Robin Clyde; daughter Sharla Jahnke and son-in-law Greg Jahnke, son Hunter McCauley, grandchildren Logan Jahnke, Lacey Jahnke, Caden Jahnke, Karsyn McCauley and Forrest Chelakis III.

Bruce was a handsome, fun-loving, and charismatic guy with the extraordinary ability to find mischief wherever he went and had the gift of gab to talk his way out of it. He lived his teenage years and twenties having fun with his friends and breaking hearts with the ladies. Bruce's light shined bright and brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met and knew. You could always count on him to say the funniest things. He was a talented writer and loved writing poetry to share with his loved ones. He also had a deep love for music which he passed on to his daughters and son.

He was an avid outdoorsman and master fisherman that loved to hunt with his bow, rifle, and 44 mag. You name it. He could hunt with it and when he wasn't hunting, he was fishing on a lake somewhere with his buddy. He was a great bass fisherman competing in many tournaments throughout his life. Bruce would tell you his self that everything he did, he did to extreme and loved every minute of it.

He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who had a heart of gold and a generous soul. Bruce believed and wrote "Wealth is not measured by fortune, but instead it is actually measured by how much family you have and love." He loved his family more than life so it was a great and painful loss for him to lose his daughter, parents, and best friend within the span of two years, but despite his grief and sorrow he persevered and remained positive throughout. He will be remembered for the unique, talented, kind and loving person that he was and for his remarkable ability to have joy, laughter and positivity through years of great hardship and loss.
