Robert Lee Kovar (Bob and Sonny Boy if you knew him from childhood), 89 of Tomball, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was born on January 3, 1929 in Caldwell, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Ana M Kovar, children, Betty Head, William Kovar wife Linda, Marijo Ferrell husband Terry, Terry Kovar wife Jena, Mariolina Sessa, Victor Villacorta wife Tina, Birina Benavidez, Mariam Medeiros husband Robert, Henry Villacorta wife Valarie, brothers Herman Kovar, David Kovar wife Betty, Johnny Dale Kovar, sisters Billie Brinkman husband Henry, Mary Corbett, Ruby Bollier, Alice Price, sister in law Carolyn Kovar , 27 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death: Parents, John and Lydia Allcorn Kovar, Wife Betty Lucille Fuchs Kovar, Daughter, Becky Ann Kovar Jones, Son, John Anthony Kovar, son in law Eddie Head, Brother Walter (Buster) Kovar & sister Bernice (Sissy), Longoria.

He served in the US Navy for the cleanup after WWII and was called back to active duty at the beginning of the Korean War. He met and married his first wife Betty, in Seattle, Washington. They moved to Houston, Texas in the early 1950's. He was a bus driver for the City Of Houston. He worked in the oil business, owned Service Stations, worked at Wanda Petroleum as a truck driver and was promoted to dispatcher. He retired from Enterprise in 1991. After he retired he had various part time jobs. His last job was at Walmart as a greeter where he met his second wife, Ana Mendoza. He worked at Walmart for over 12 years. His last day of work was on his 88th birthday. He was a simple hard working man who loved being with people.

He loved history, fishing and working in his yard. Also, he loved to test anyone on history since his mind was so sharp and he could remember things from the past that no one else would think to remember. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone that would listen.
