Robert James Kossman, Bob, loving father, brother, and loyal friend, sadly passed away during the early hours of the 15th of September in Houston, Texas. Bob was born in 1950 in Wisconsin to the late Mary and Lester. He graduated from South High School, class of 69, and was very proud, he loved class reunions. He went on to graduate with his bachelors degree at Grand Valley State and his masters at Prairie View A&M. His passion was always helping children and worked as a devoted special education teacher until he opened a business of his own as a subcontractor. He was known as the "grass man," and built Kossman Contracting out of his garage into a successful career for 30 years. Bob was a man of God, raised in the Catholic Church, and followed his fathers footsteps with his involvement with the Knights of Columbus brotherhood. His selfless dedication to Child Advocates will always be one of his greatest attributes. He was a lover of the sand and sun. Bryan beach will forever be his favorite spot to tan. If he wasn't at the beach, you could find him volunteering at the chicken bbq or the tamale sale, watching Yordan knock it out of the park at an Astros game, working security at the Chevron Marathon, grilling bratwurst "Sheboygan" style, or spending time with his beloved best fur friend, Gabi. Bob had an unwavering love for his only daughter, his pride and joy, Sara. He will deeply be missed, always be loved, and be remembered by all. "Goodbye is just a pause, the ones we love are never far from our hearts."
We invite you to join us in a memorial service to honor Bob's life well lived, held at Community of Faith, 16124 Becker Rd, Hockley, Texas at 11:00 A.M. on November 2, 2022.
An interment service will be held at Calvary Cemetary in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, at a later date.
