On Friday morning at 3:34am, January 15, 2021 Robert E. "Bob" Knox passed from his earthly home to his eternal home in Heaven.  Bob was born on December 8, 1936 in Houston, Texas.  He was the youngest son of James Thomas and Grace Hayman Knox.  Bob loved Southern Gospel music, and could be found any given Friday or Saturday night at a  Gaither or some of other quartet concert.  He enjoyed singing in the Senior Adult Choir at First Baptist Church of Dallas, and then more recently with Spring Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.   He loved sports, and enjoyed playing and spending time with his grandsons and great-grandchildren.  Bob grew-up playing basketball in high school and junior college.  Later in life he refereed junior and high school basketball games.   During the late 60's through the mid 70's Bob announced the high school football games at Spring High school.   Bob loved working for the Dallas Sports teams.   He worked with the Texas Rangers organization working in the club level for over 20 years as an usher.  He also worked for the American Airlines Center, working for the Dallas Mavericks Basketball and Dallas Stars Hockey teams.  Bob never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went.   Bob was preceded in death by his Father James Thomas Knox, his mother Grace Hayman Knox and his brother James Thomas Knox, II.  He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years Sarah Sanders Knox, his daughters Janet Knox and Bambi Knox Gonzales (Tim).   He is also survived by his granddaughter, Natalie Gonzales Bates (Andrew) and great granddaughters Tatum and Callie of Orlando, Florida; grandson Robert David Gonzales (Chelsey) and great-grandsons Knox and Kayson of Spring, Texas;  grandson Zechary Gonzales (Ally) and great grandson Aaron, and great-granddaughter Addison.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Senta Knox (New Braunfels), his nephew James T. Knox (Vanessa) EL Paso, Texas, his niece Martha Carberry (New Braunfels), his niece Ruth Knox (New Braunfels) and other great nephews and great nieces.   Flowers can be sent to the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball Texas, or donations can be made to the Singing Hearts Choir organization at Spring Baptist Church.
