Bob is a native Texas and was born 77 years ago. He always had a strong sense of Texas pride. He was also a gentle soul and a very good at tinkering and fixing things. He loved animals and nature. Very often, when spring time came, he busied himself taking care of abandoned baby birds that he would nourish back to health and then set them free again.

Bob also had a solid relationship to his parents and love for family. It was an important tradition to drive to Dallas every Christmas to visit his parents and spend the holiday being together. He had a very keen talent in mechanics and is a natural born engineer. Bob's major interests were firearms, motorcycles and airplanes.

From college and ROTC to graduation, he has won total 17 rewards between 1962- 1965 in rifle shooting contests. Some as a team member and some are individual merits. Shooting guns was still a favorite hobby after retirement. Bob spent a lot time rebuilt motorcycles from only a frame to a complete piece. He also manufactured famous 'PODTRONICS' DC regulators for motorcycles and this products been shipped worldwide. He also loved to fly, and his first flight experience was 17. This love for flying didn't ever stop and always owned some kind of aircraft until just a few years ago. He loved to share his love for flying with his family and friends. After college, Bob began working for the City of Houston. Through 35 loyal years service, he retired with a plaque of honor.

This sweet soul has gone, but will always be in our hearts and memories.  The family will receive friends Wednesday March 15, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home.
