Robert Parker Kimball, 87, peacefully slipped away on March 11, 2021. Bob was born on November 16, 1933 in Santa Monica, California, to parents Truman H. Kimball and Maude Markham Kimball. Bob attended Van Nuys High School, went on to Occidental College, majoring in Commerce and Finance, and graduated in 1955. He particularly enjoyed competing on the Oxy Track & Field team in discus and shot put events, which put him up against the nation's best. After graduating from college, he was drafted into the United States Navy and stationed for two years in San Diego. Later, he took a position with Procter and Gamble in the Midwest. While visiting friends in Madison, Wisconsin, he met and married Mary Holt in 1962. The couple returned to California where Bob joined Shell Oil Company in corporate real estate. He and Mary had three children in California, then moved to Houston as Bob's work transferred to Texas in 1973. He retired in 1995.

Bob was a longtime active Northwoods Presbyterian Church member, a woodworking hobbyist, and an enthusiastic construction project volunteer. He loved to play tennis and engage in both Habitat for Humanity projects and AARP tax preparation assistance. He served on the board of the Champions Area Fire Department. After retiring, Bob and Mary enjoyed international travel to Europe and Latin America.

Bob will be remembered for his calm and friendly personality, his humorous joke and story telling, and his devotion to family and church. Bob is survived by wife Mary Holt of 58 years, daughters Emily (Shaun) McChesney and Laura Kimball, son Peter (Laura) Kimball, three grandchildren (Sophia, Ariana and Alex), and brother David Kimball. A memorial service will take place at Northwoods Presbyterian Church on Cypress Creek Parkway, Saturday, March 27 at 3:00 PM. If attending in person, please register at www.northwoods.org.
