A human life is a collection of stories.

Bob's story began on April 21, 1942.  He was the only son of David and Pansy Hodge and the youngest of three.  He was born in Montreal, Quebec and soon after his family moved to a dairy farm in upper state New York.  He had a humorous way of sharing his primitive farm life experiences, for example – no electricity or running water.  Because he was the youngest, he had the privilege of being the first to take a warm bath once a week.

While in junior high school, his family relocated to Orlando Florida.  Soon after graduating from Boone High School in 1960, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  During his service, he had the honor of being awarded one of twelve Airmen of the Year.

After his service in the Air Force, Bob attended The University of Florida.  It was during this time, as a student, when his drive for excellence continued by graduating as salutatorian in his class and being inducted into 3 honor societies – Beta Alpha Psi, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.

His successful business career began at Price Waterhouse in Orlando Florida.  In 1972, he moved to the private sector where he worked for a commercial real estate development company and Gulf Oil Corporation.  This career brought Bob and his family to Houston, Texas in 1977.  Following his love of real estate, Bob changed directions and started working for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate.  His first year with Coldwell Banker, he was awarded Salesman of the Year.  He retired in 2016 as the Chief Financial Officer of Medistar.

Even though he took great pride in his career, Bob would tell you that his greatest accomplishments were his love of family and his commitment to lifelong friendships.

He is survived by Pat, his greatest love, 4 children, Julia Lee Harmon (Keith), James Ray Hodge (Marisol), Wesley Gunner Hodge (Veronica), Angela Lance (James), 6 grandchildren, Mari Clair Harmon, Gabby Hodge, Nathan Hodge, Aidan Hodge, Jax Hodge and Courtney Comstock, 1 great-grandson, Abe Comstock and nieces and nephews.  Even though he did not grow up with brothers, he considered John Raymond and Paul Raymond brothers by another mother.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Margaret Fifield, Shirley Robinson and nephew David Fifield.

The celebration of life will be at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas, on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2 pm. The family invites everyone to continue the celebration at Bob and Pat's home, 710 Majestic Shores Lane, Pinehurst, Texas in the Woodtrace neighborhood.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
