Robert H. Hathcock, Jr.
August 6, 1948 -August 7, 2020

Robert Hathcock, age 72, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 in Hockley, Texas. He was a native of
Jefferson County, AL. He graduated from Tarrant High School in 1966 and attended community college.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Geneva and Robert H. Hathcock, sister Myra Wall, her husband
Doug and son Mark, brothers-in-law Ryan Simmons and Doug McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife Corbie, stepdaughter Amy, and grandson Jacob West. He is also survived by
his sisters, Donna (Charles) Treslar and Glenda Scott. Nephews Scott Simmons, Brandon Little and niece
Kacey Simmons.

While serving in the Alabama National Guard, Robert had the honor and duty of escorting his good
friend Tommy Hill, killed in Vietnam, home for burial. Robert is survived by Tommy's mother, Mrs. Clara
Hill, whom he loved and called his second mother. He visited her faithfully.

Robert was in sales for many years, but later opened his hot-shot business, Hathcock Trucking. Robert
was also an avid fisherman. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

A graveside service will be held later at Mulberry Baptist Cemetery in Blount County, Alabama.
