Robert Roy Hamilton, (89), of Tomball, Texas was welcomed into the arms of his Savior Saturday, March 4, 2017 after an 8-month struggle with various infections.   Bob proudly served his country as a WWII veteran aboard the USS Pomfret submarine , along side his twin brother Bill and 28 others who graduated early from Amarillo High School in order to enlist.  He moved to Tomball in 1971, serving as teacher and then principal of Tomball High School from 1971 - 1977, moving then to Director of Special Services for Tomball ISD. He was a charter member of Graceview Baptist Church and has served faithfully for the past 36 years.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Parker and Viva Hamilton, his twin brother, William R. Hamilton, brother Pat Hamilton, and daughter Roberta Hamilton Tipton.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, June Reno Hamilton, daughter Lauree Hamilton Williams and husband Brad of Atlanta, GA, daughter Shelley Hamilton Pace and husband Robert of Tomball, TX, 7 grandchildren, Kyle Williams and wife Amanda, Lindsey Williams Richardson and husband Jay, Sarah Tipton Hassell and husband Kevin, Kenny Tipton and wife Christina, Bobby Pace and wife Janice, Barrett Pace, and Beaux Pace;  11 great-grandchildren, Brylee Williams, Griffin Williams, Aubrey Williams, Caleb Richardson, Kennedy Richardson, Taylor Richardson, Alexis Hassell, Kora Tipton, Kason Tipton, Brayden Pace, Landon Pace and many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.

He will be interred in the Houston National Cemetery.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Graceview Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Donahoo officiating.
