Robert (Bob) Gipson of Spring, Texas transitioned to Heaven on November 3, 2020, with Jennifer and Brett by his side. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Earl and Arteena Gipson on January 11, 1938. He graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City and received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from THE University of Oklahoma in Norman on May 26, 1963. After graduating from OU, of which he was an avid fan throughout his life, he joined the Army Reserves, and was Honorably Discharged on March 31, 1964.

After the Army, his professional career was spent working for Oil and Gas Companies, in and out of the United States, with many days working on off shore rigs. He retired from Conoco in his late 60s but was called back out of retirement in 2010 because of his expertise during the BP Oil Spill.

Bob traveled extensively all over the world during his professional life, sometimes with family and other times solo. He has lived in Kansas City, San Francisco, Denver, Tulsa, Houston, and five years in Singapore.

Bob had great love for his children and grandchildren, showed his love in many different ways, and was known for his generous heart.

Bob will be sorely missed by his beloved family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, son Noah, and two sisters: Barbara and Loraine.
