"Bob" (Uncle Stan) Eden, born September 11, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas, entered into Heaven February 28, 2020 at age 79. He attended both Argentine schools and Turner H.S. then joined the U.S. Navy serving on two aircraft carriers in two tours of the Pacific. After his service, Bob returned to Kansas City, working for Elko Photo, Western Electric, and Davis Van Lines. He moved to Liberal, Kansas where he owned and operated Eden Van Lines for many years. After selling the van lines, his next adventure was moving to Houston, Texas in 1981, then retired 2006 after 25 years with U-Haul Corporate. In each city, Bob was a member of Lions Club International, receiving "Lion of the Year" two years straight in '87 & '88, and lastly served as President of the Houston Cypress Creek Lions Club '92-'93. Bob was twelfth of thirteen children and the youngest boy. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Blanche (Gravatt) Eden; his last remaining sibling is his sister Ruth (Eden) Osborn, 91, of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Surviving to continue his prayer legacy is his wife of 38 years, Patricia (Martin) Eden, a native of Mt. Olive, North Carolina and daughter of the late June and Betsy Martin, his step-son Richard Adam Basden and partner Lacy Kayleigh Morris of Dallas, Texas, step-son William Brian Basden and his wife Dr. Deborah (Jeter) Basden of Raleigh, North Carolina, and son Christopher Robert Eden and partner Judith Hall of The Woodlands, Texas. Bob is blessed with eight grandchildren: Jacob David Basden, Joshua Jeter Basden, and Jackson Curtis Basden of Raleigh, North Carolina, Wilson Alan Basden, Alessia June Basden, Bodhi Jude Basden, and step-granddaughter Kadence Olivia-Shae Martin of Dallas, Texas, Wesley Ryger Eden of The Woodlands, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Adam Basden, Christopher Eden, Wilson Basden, Doug Prazak, John Bugayong, and Gene Brault.
Honorary Pallbearers are his nephews: Joey, James, David, and Josh Henshaw.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6th 5PM – 8PM at Klein Funeral Home on Champions Forest Drive. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 7th 11AM at Christchurch Baptist Fellowship 12501 Champion Forest, Houston. Interment will be in Mt. Olive, NC at Tyndall Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21st. A one-hour viewing at noon with burial to follow in the older section of Maplewood Cemetery at 1 PM.
