Robert Alan Dunn passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 20th, 2026. He was 63.
Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 8, 1962, to Robert G. and Nancy J. (Perkins) Dunn. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, spent his senior year in Katy, and later made his home in Kingwood, Texas.
Before beginning his career, Bob enjoyed his time as a radio DJ at 93Q, where his love for 80's music took center stage. He went on to build a long and successful career in telecommunications, including time with Verizon and nearly twenty years at Logix as a Senior Account Manager. In 2021, he joined Ezee Fiber as an Enterprise Major Accounts Executive, where he worked closely with key clients. Bob was passionate about connecting with people, had a strong interest in IT and marketing, and was known for his dedication to his clients and colleagues, and his willingness to help others.
Bob had a deep passion for serving his community, especially through Scouting. He served as a Cubmaster and Scoutmaster and was actively involved in the Soaring Eagle and Red Wolf Districts. Over the years, he received numerous honors, including the Scoutmaster Key, District Award of Merit, and Family of the Year. He also served as a merit badge counselor and Life-to-Eagle advisor, mentoring countless young men and helping shape their futures. His dedication to Scouting and to helping others was a defining part of his life.
In his early years, Bob was an active member of the Catholic community, where he participated in youth and singles groups and met his wife, Kim, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He quickly took notice of her in the adult singles volleyball group, and their story began with a moment neither of them would forget. What started as a game of volleyball and an accidental spike to Kim's face turned into a lifelong partnership. Bob and Kim shared 30 years of marriage and built a life centered around family.
Bob was a devoted husband and father. His children were his greatest pride and joy. He was always present, teaching them how to fix things, solve problems, and be self-sufficient. If you knew Bob, you knew there was the right way, and then there was the "Bob Dunn way."
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Dunn. He is survived by his wife, Kim A. (Moorman) Dunn; his children, Robert, Patrick, William, and Amanda; his mother, Nancy (Perkins) Dunn; his brothers, Bill and John; his sister, Elizabeth; and many extended family members.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday April 24, 2026, Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18511 Klein Church Road, Spring, Texas 77379, with Father James Burkart as celebrant. A reception will follow.
He will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
