Obituary

Long time Spring, Texas resident Robert S. Boone, Jr. passed on January 31, 2023, due to Covid-19 and dementia related complications. Better known as Bob or Bobby (to family and close friends) grew up in Durham, NC and graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Bob also met his wife Ellen Carr while at Campbell. He is survived by his wife and their children, Marti, Meredith, Robert - III (Carrie), Chasie (Jerry), and grandchildren: Grey (Alondra), Reid, Sierra, Parker, Brayden, Lily, Hope, Halle, Logan, and Ethan, all of whom brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Debbie Lemus and Marie Boone, as well as , nieces Heather McIntosh, Ellen McIntosh, Ellen McIntosh, Morgan Zuehlke, and nephews Ty McIntosh and Josh Lemus. Bob is also survived by his four-footed best friend, Henry, a beloved boxer by his side.

Bob thrived in the men's clothing industry as a specialty and luxury sales executive with large territories throughout the East Coast and Midwest regions. Highly regarded by management and clientele alike, he often earned "Salesman of the Year" accolades from C.F. Hathaway, Christian Dior, Countess Mara, and Chaps, Ralph Lauren brands. Part of his success may have included his keen sense of humor as he kept an active list of 100+ jokes, so he could always be prepared to add a little levity. That curated list of favorite punchlines have been passed on to his eldest grandson.

Bob's love of sports was also important to him; especially his love of tennis where he earned numerous trophies in singles and doubles. In recent years, he was part of Pickleball early adoption where he was both a brand ambassador of sorts and able to earn many medals. He hung on to Pickleball longer than he should because he wanted to remain active, maintain those friendships and the people were, in his words, "so nice".

The family wishes to thank the remarkable and thoughtful caregivers at Hope and Beyond Hospice and Autumn Leaves Memory Care for their assistance in his final days.
