Robert "Bob" Howard Anderson passed into the arms of the Lord in Spring, TX, surrounded by his loving family on August 4, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

Bob was born in Oberlin, KS on September 24, 1950, to William Howard and Anna Ruth (Shafer) Anderson. He lived his childhood in Hoxie, KS with his parents, 2 older brothers and sister. He graduated from high school in 1968 and went on to North Central Kansas Tech to become a heavy equipment operator. This brought him to Texas where he liked the weather better than Kansas, so he moved permanently to Spring, TX. In the 1980s, he entered the mortgage industry where he proudly served as a mortgage loan officer for 40 years.

In 1999 he reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Maxine Jacobson, and they were blessed with 25 happy years together.

His hobbies largely included building...anything. From gadgets to help Maxine in the kitchen, especially with cookies, to his coveted rolling cooler boxes. All knew if Bob built it, it would stay built. The neighborhood even nicknamed him "Bob the Builder". When not building in the garage he enjoyed the company and conversation of family and friends at "The Cabana". He built most of the famous Cabana himself, where many wonderful memories were made.

Bob was a giant of a man, both in stature and in personality. A gentle and generous man who willingly gave to those in need. He loved life, was always happy and always wore a big smile.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dale and Larry Anderson and nephew James Anderson.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Maxine and sons Jacob (Delia) of San Antonio, Jeremy (Jackie) of Spring, and Dustin (Lexie) of Meriden, KS; grandchildren, Kylie, Keegan, Graham, Leo and Yahir; his sister, Kaye (Carroll) Hird of Conroe, TX; their children Eric (Nicole) Hird of Conroe, TX and Travis (Tracy) Hird of Montgomery, TX; Traci (Greg) McCullough of Boulder, CO, and sister-in-law, Norma Anderson of Salina, KS. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adore him.

His love and spirit will remain forever in our hearts, his legacy enduring in the lives he touched.
