R.L. Stallones, 96, of Tomball, passed away March 7, 2018. He was born October 12, 1921, in McKinney to the late Relus Whittle and Dorothy Ellen Stallones.
R.L. was a graduate of Tomball High School. He proudly served his country from 1942 till 1945 in the U. S. Army. He served under General George Smith Patton Jr. during WWII in Europe in the 71st Infantry Division. Mr. Stallones was a tank instructor at Westpoint, 1945-1946 and worked for the CCC Camp in Wyoming in 1942. He has been a member of the Tomball VFW 2427 since 1955.
He is survived by his daughters, Shari Roberts, Nancy Lokey, Sandi Nail and husband Kenny, and Donna Buhler and husband John; Six Grandchildren, Twenty Two Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild; brother-in-law, Alvin Cain; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, close friends and Domino Buddies.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Wilma Stallones; sisters, Bonnie Nall and husband Howard, and Dorothy Lee Cain.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, March 10th, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Klein Funeral Home - Magnolia. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 10:00 AM at Klein Funeral Home - Magnolia, Rev. Caleb Fleming officiating. Interment to follow in Klein Memorial Park - Magnolia.
Serving as pallbearers are Roger Valentin, Dr. Spike Nail, Matthew Valentin, Collin Valentin, Terry Hillard, Jay Warren; honorary pallbearers Mark Sneed.
