Ritsuko "Dee" Ginsburg, 90, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2022, at a local hospital surrounded by her family. She was born March 22, 1932, and grew up in Nara, Japan and emigrated to the United States after marrying her husband, Bonn K. Ginsburg.

Dee was known to be a very strong and determined person with strong principles rooted in her ethnic background, sacrificing a lot to become a U.S. citizen. She overcame many life obstacles after moving to the U.S.; and she tackled each challenge by addressing them head on. She is known within her family for instilling this determination and became the mark of her personality. She was also the strong matriarch of the family with her husband preceding her in death by several years.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Riichiro and Yoshino Haga along with her husband Bonn Ginsburg. Dee is also survived by her children Nora Stern and the late Chris Stern of Virginia Beach, VA; Donna Cruz and husband Rafael of Pleasanton, TX; Rita Gulizo and husband Dave of Marrero, LA; Bryan Ginsburg and wife Gina of Houston, TX; and Tracy Yuan and husband Pete of Cypress, TX.

Dee was also survived by many grandchildren; Brandi Villarreal and husband Jason of San Antonio, TX; Brandon Popham of San Antonio, TX; Gabrielle Leal and husband Gerrad of Austin, TX; Brittany Stern of Virginia Beach, VA; Kyle Ginsburg and wife Kelly of Cypress, TX; Kendall Ginsburg of Bettendorf, IA/Houston, TX; Kristen Geisler and husband Nick of Cypress, TX; Brooke Davis of Cypress, TX; Alyssa Davis of New York, NY; Justin Gulizo of New Orleans, LA and Ashlyn Gulizo of New Orleans, LA. Dee was also survived by her great grandchildren; Addison, Ava and Ella Villarreal of San Antonio, TX; Sophie Stern of Virginia Beach, VA and Elias Geisler of Cypress, TX.

As part of Dee's wishes, a small family gathering will occur to share in the many photographs and wonderful memories of their loved one. The family wants to thank all the New Orleans friends, and the countless Houston friends who've been her friend and assisted in her comfort and care.
