Riley L. Wedgeworth III, 59, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 13, 2016 surrounded by loving family members. Preceded in death by his parents Riley L. Wedgeworth Jr and Eva Jane.

Riley was a 37-year veteran of the Houston Fire Department and a Retired Senior Captain assigned to Station 29, A shift.

Riley served on the HLS&R's Safety Committee where he received a Lifetime Committeeman Membership status.

Riley is survived by his loving wife Chere', daughter Lori Lee and husband Michael, son Riley L. IV and daughter Rachel. Granddaughters; Serena, Katarina, Zoey and Khloe. Brothers; Robert, Phillip, Howard, Mathew and wife Kandi. Sister; Johanna and husband Buddy. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Rotary Firefighters Home at www.rotaryfirefightershome.org a 501C3 charity that provides free housing for firefighters and their families when taking cancer treatments in Houston.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 16,2016 from 5-8PM at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Friday, June 17,2016 at Magnolia's First Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Klein Memorial Park.
