Ricky Joe Hoffart, 61, of Cypress, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2019. He was born to Sylvester Hoffart and Grace Mikeska Hoffart on September 29, 1958, in Houston, Texas. Ricky graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 1977 and then married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Long in 1979. They built their home and raised their children together in Cypress. Ricky was a tool and die maker for Goodman Manufacturing/Daikin for 32 years. He was experienced in die repair, press calls and the inspection of die change overs. He was dedicated to his line of work and passionate about sharing his knowledge with new employees. Ricky's favorite activities included outdoor grilling, playing washers, caring for the lawn, and tending his garden. His authenticity and work ethic made him truly one of a kind. Ricky was proceeded in death by his stepmother, Louise Hoffart, and brother, Alan John Hoffart. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hoffart; daughter Becky Hoffart Lenert and husband Andrew; son, David Hoffart and wife Jessica; and sister, Judy Hoffart Odom. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Parker Lenert, Beau Hoffart, Taya Hoffart and Grant Hoffart. The family will receive friends Monday, November 25, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas. Services will be in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday November 26, 2019. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception immediately following the service at the Hoffart residence from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
