Richard Joseph Skyvara, 78, of Hallettsville, passed away on December 21, 2018 in Houston, TX.

Visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Houston, TX on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm.

Funeral service will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Houston, TX on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2pm with Deacon Ken Stanley of Prince of Peace officiating.

Richard was born in Houston, TX to Joseph and Cleoma Skyvara on October 11, 1940. He served in the Air National Guard. He was the Owner and President of Skyvara Foundry and Skyvara Casting Sales. He enjoyed Hunting, Motorcycling, Auto Collecting, Boating and Bar B Queuing.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cleoma Skyvara and his loyal German Shepard, Rocky.

Richard is survived by his children: Son, Kennon Skyvara and wife Bronwyn of Houston; Daughter, Dana Skyvara of Houston; Grandchildren: Kenna Atkinson, Kelton and Brecken Skyvara. Sibling: Gwendolyn Skyvara of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Nieces and Nephews: Elizabeth Ridgway of Denver, Colorado, and Joseph Pizzatola of Garden Grove, California.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA.
