Richard "Dick" Schroeder Jr. was born June 11th, 1936 in Watertown, Wisconsin, and departed this life October 1st, 2025. Son of Bernard and Dorothy Schroeder, Richard wed his high-school sweetheart, Janis Schoemaker on November 6th, 1954. The two of them celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary November 6, 2024. Richard and Janis moved to Houston, Texas in 1972 where they raised their four children. Janis preceded Richard in death April 30, 2025. Richard is survived by his sister Vicki Rekemeyer and her husband Mike, and sister-in-law Betty Lou Schroeder; his four children: Cindy Wilson and husband Gene, Pam Schroeder, Kimm Kartman, and Robert Schroeder; his four grandchildren: Jessica Wilson, Ashleigh Wilson, Cole Kartman and wife Ashley, Katherine Gordon and husband Micheal; and Richard's great grandchildren: Callie and Daniel Kartman.

Richard accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and resides with Him awaiting the arrival of the rest of his family. A private family remembrance was held October 17th, 2025.
