Richard Savacool "Dick" – Obituary

June 12, 1934 – November 26, 2020

Richard Savacool "Dick" went to be with the Lord the evening of November 26, 2020.  Dick passed away peacefully at his home in Spring, Texas surrounded by family with his loving wife, Jackie by his side.   Dick was born in East Orange, New Jersey on June 12, 1934, he is preceded in death by his son Richard Savacool Jr. "Rickey" and his parents, Millard and Dorothy Savacool.

Dick is survived by his wife Jacqueline Savacool, daughters Deborah Miller and her husband Scott Miller, Kelley Savacool-Baxter, son Robert Savacool and his wife Michelle Savacool, his nine grandchildren, Noél Bartlett, Candee Pruiett, Ashlee Abasolo, Joshua Miller, Dakota Savacool, Leah Miller, Brice Savacool, Chase Savacool, Cody Baxter, seven great- grandchildren with three more to make their arrival in the upcoming year 2021 and his brother, Robert Savacool "Bobby" and wife Alice Savacool.

Dick was a loving husband to his wife Jackie of 61 years, a wonderful father and grandfather.  He never met a stranger, he was an outgoing, smart, fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends.  He had a huge heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  He retired after a successful career as an accomplished engineer who worked in sales, doing what he so loved to do.  After his retirement he enjoyed playing tennis and spent numerous days at their local club competing and visiting with friends.  He was a man of faith that looked forward to worship and spending time with his church family.   When his children were young, he was right there coaching their teams and activities, later attending his grandchildren's school events and games.  Dick served in the Army and graduated from his Alma Mater Clemson University, whom he supported throughout his lifetime.   He was an all-around great athlete and enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite college football team.  You would often know this since everyone would hear him expressing his opinions (loudly) to the TV.  We will miss his loving contagious personality, but we all know he is celebrating in Heaven.

Memorial Service to be held at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 6819 Louetta Rd, Spring, TX 77379 on Thursday December 3, 2020 at 2:30 in in the afternoon (mask recommended).
