Richard Stanley Sadaj, 66, passed in peace while sleeping Monday, January 15, 2018 around 11:00 a.m. in his home in Houston following a battle with cancer. (It also starting snowing in Detroit around 11:00 a.m.)

Richard was born to Walter "Hots" and Eda "Chocolate Grandma" Sadaj on November 1, 1951 in Hamtramck, Michigan. As a young man, he was always messing with engines, tuning his cars so he could tear up Detroit racing up and down the streets.  He enjoyed collecting coins even back then and carried on the habit for the remainder of his life.  He also loved cooking up a feast for any occasion but especially for his legendary Super Bowl Parties.   His all-time passion was a good road trip with the family.   We took a trip to New Hampshire and one-day Richard asks us all to jump in the truck and go for a ride, little did we know it was a drive to Maine to get some seafood for lunch but that was just Richard.  He would drive to a whole other state just to get some food and then turn around and come home.  Then again Richard wasn't one to do another small, he had a heart the size of himself, and anytime you sat down with him you knew good stories and jokes were on the way.

He is survived by his children; Scott Sadaj, Erica Sadaj, Chadwick Sadaj and Christopher Sadaj Sr; his daughter in law Stacy Sadaj; his grandson Christopher Martin Sadaj Jr; his brother Al Sadaj along with other loving family, extended family and of course the friends whom became family over the years.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Klein Funeral Homes located 9719 Wortham Blvd. Houston, TX 77065.   All are welcome to celebrate Richard's life.
