RICHARD WILLIAM NIMTZ, 59, passed away peacefully, September 2, 2017, with family and friends at his side. He was born September 16, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana, to Patricia Ann Spencer and Ronald William Spencer, and raised by his mother and adoptive father, the late Albert G. Nimtz.  Richard attended Spring Woods and Memorial Hall High Schools and Sam Houston State University.  He was such a gentle soul; great husband, father, brother and son; tremendous athlete; friend to everyone and lover of life.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl and daughter Hunter; mother Patricia Nimtz; sister Wendy Bellow; brother Michael Nimtz; brother Kirk Nimtz and wife Paddy-Jo; In-Laws Frank and Ruthie DeNina; Brothers-in-Law Aubrey DeNina and Russell DeNina; Sister-in-Law Lisa Hymel and Husband Tommy; and nieces and nephews: Jason, Michael and Brandy Bellow; Kelsie, Tori, Bailey, Brandon, and Preston Nimtz; Lauren, Ashley and Brooke Hymel and Tiffany DeNina, who will miss their uncle dearly. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 9, 2017, in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home at 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
