Richard Cole Holmes' Obituary
Richard Cole Holmes of Tomball, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2018. He was born on April 13th, 1959 to Judith Franklin and Sherman Holmes in Houston, Texas. He married Gayle Marie Shannan in 1988, and together they brought two children into the world, Haley and Brittany.
Richard was a project manager in construction for many years and played a big role in the trifecta of sports arenas that we have in Houston today, Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, and NRG Arena. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and golf enthusiast. He spent most of his spare time watching University of Texas and Houston sports and was extremely overjoyed with the Houston Astros World Series win.
His memory will live on by those who survive him: daughter Brittany Holmes; daughter Haley Owings and husband Chad Owings; wife Gayle Shannan Holmes; father Sherman Holmes; half siblings Stephen Holmes, Kelly Boyd, and Kenneth Davis.
Friends and family are cordially invited to a memorial visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main Street, Tomball, TX 77375. ?
