Richard Earl Hinote, Sr., 72, of Cypress died on July 11, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.
The viewing will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 14, at Fairfield Baptist Church in Cypress, followed by the funeral at 11 am. A family graveside service will be held at the Klein Memorial Park Cemetery in Cypress immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund for Fairfield Baptist Church, PO Box 865, Cypress, TX 77410-0865.
A native of Bogalusa, LA he lived in Vidor, Texas for 8 years before moving to the Houston area eventually settling in Cypress for 40-plus years. He retired from a career managing warehouses for a number of food service companies. He led music for several Baptist churches from the late sixties to the mid-eighties most recently at Cy-Fair Baptist Church. He served in the Naval Reserves in Beaumont, TX during the Vietnam era.
Preceded in death by mother Nannie Mae "Sue" Hinote of Vidor and father, Virgil Ray "Dick" Hinote Sr. and his sister, Peggy Sue Hinote Wells.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Crile Hinote of Cypress, daughters Sharalyn Hinote Propst of Hockley and Patricia Hinote Guess of Rusk. as well as his son Richard, Jr. of Houston; sisters Gayle Hinote Scott of San Antonio and Janet Hinote Cook of Vidor, and brothers Ray Hinote of Lumberton, and Gary Hinote of Orange; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
