Richard Daniel Frederking passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Cypress, TX. Dan is survived by his wife, 'marvelous Margo' as he called her, children Kathryn Davies and husband Chris, Todd Frederking and Chris Frederking and wife Kristi, in addition to 3 grandchildren, Reid Davies and fiance Bonnie Artiga, Cameron Davies, and Jack Davies.
Dan was born and raised in Houston. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in downtown Houston and San Jacinto High School. He attended Duke University and graduated from Lamar University.
Dan served 2 years in the U.S. Army and returned to Houston to work with his Dad in Investments. He met his best friend and partner for life, Margo in 1965. They married in 1966. Together they raised three children showing them life throughout the U.S. and overseas as they traveled for Dan's work. They returned from Saudi Arabia to settle in Northwest Houston where he enjoyed life long friends and family in Church, Golf, and work.
Two of his favorite things were golf trips and singing in the Church Choir, which allowed him to sing in Carnegie Hall in November of this year.
Dan laughed. Dan laughed all the way to the end. His family asks, that in remembering Dan, remember how he loved and remember how he laughed.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2019 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 14225 Hargrave Road, Houston, TX 77070. Inurnment will be at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
