With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, Richard Anthony Fazio was welcomed into the arms of his Savior on January 20th, 2024. Richard was born in Joliet, Illinois, to the late Peter Anthony Fazio and Florence Allocco Fazio on November 20, 1951. He was the fourth of five kids and enjoyed a childhood of playing Little League Baseball, where he affectionately received the lasting nickname of "Chunky." It was also during this time that he developed his avid love for the Chicago Bears. He graduated from Joliet West High School, Class of 1969, and continued his education at Bradley University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He became a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity while in college. After graduation, he served three years in Ghana, West Africa, as a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching mathematics. After returning to the States from his Peace Corps tour, he began a career in market research with the Farm Credit System in Nebraska. Some years later, he was transferred to Colorado, where he received his MBA from the University of Denver. While in Colorado, he met and married his wife of nearly 44 years, Lorise Delores White. He and Lorise were blessed with two sons, Mario and Roman, and moved to Texas in 1988 in order for Richard to accept a position with Compaq Computer Corporation. He retired from the workforce in 2017.

Richard loved being with family and friends. He always enjoyed watching his son, Mario, play sports and shared an interest in automotives with his son, Roman. In his retirement, he never turned down an opportunity to travel and visit close friends and family; in California, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, and Mexico. His greatest pleasure was watching and playing sports with his grandson, Blake, and playing Barbie dolls with his granddaughter, Bailey. They were the lights of his life, and he enjoyed nothing more than being a grandfather. In addition, he enjoyed playing golf, cooking, taking daily walks with his grandpup, Macie, and afternoon Starbucks dates with Lorise.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Florence Fazio, and his brother, Peter Fazio. He is survived by his wife, Lorise; his son, Mario Fazio and wife, Amanda; their two children, Blake and Bailey; his son, Roman Fazio; his sister, Mary Ann Rafac (Paul); his brothers, David (Carma) and Michael (Karen); and sister-in-law, Diane. He is also survived by Lorise's sisters, Letha Jeanpierre (Andrew), LeMira McCoy (Aaron), Jamelle White, and Jerilyne Mills (Darrell); brother-in-law, Richard E. Bell, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
