RICHARD EWALL EYLER – Dick Eyler, 85, passed away March 12, 2021, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1936 in St. Joseph Missouri, the son of Fred H. Eyler and Nelle (Ewall) Eyler.
Dick graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor's Degree in Geology. After graduating, he married his small town sweetheart Jean Kimball and eventually settling in Magnolia Texas. They celebrated 62 years of marriage on January 18, 2021. Dick was a loyal member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, The Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Houston Geological Society. He retired from Enron after 30 years of service. Dick had a love of music, their dog Katie, wildlife, and his home. He kept his mind sharp with Sudoku and lots of puzzles. He took great pride in his ability to fix almost anything.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Jack Eyler. Surviving in addition to his wife Jean are his sons, Robert Frederick Eyler and his wife Donna, Thomas Kimball Eyler and his wife Kim, grandson, Robert Joseph Eyler, his wife Krystal and great grandchildren, Robert V. Eyler, Jean F. Eyler and Kira L. Eyler; step granddaughter Haley Corzo, nephews, Richard and John Eyler.
A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at Tomball United Methodist Church, 1603 Baker Drive, Tomball, Texas 77375. The Eyler family will host a small reception at the residence of Jean Eyler immediately following the service.
