Rick Adkins went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2023. He was born August 29, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Clarence "Buster" Adkins Jr and Shirley Adkins, both deceased.

He married Jan Heck on August 20, 1977 and raised four successful daughters.

Rick was a loving and devoted husband and father and a man of God. He spent his career wearing many hats in the oil and gas industry.  If he was not spending time with his family at the land, camping, hunting, vacationing, or just hanging out, you could find him at the gun range.

His grandchildren called him "Cowboy" and he was a true Southern gentleman.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Heck Adkins, daughters Jaime, Sara, Cassie and husband Justin, Whitney and husband Kelly, grandchildren Noah, Lily, Charolette, Brice and Levi; his siblings Ivy Rathgeber, Courtney Adkins, Brett Adkins.

The memorial service will be on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 1 pm at Lakewood Methodist Church, 11330 Louetta Rd, Houston, TX 77070.
