Rheta Faye Shepherd Parmley, beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on March 1, 2025. She joins her husband of 66 years in heaven.  She was born on September 26, 1934, in Nacogdoches, Texas, and spent most of her life in Houston, Texas where she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Rheta was a woman of boundless love, grace and generosity. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Glenda May, Craig Parmley, and Sheri Ogden, and their respective spouses, John May, Ted Walker, and Ken Ogden. Her legacy of kindness continues through her grandchildren, Ryan May and wife, Mandi, Kathryn Kraan and husband, David, Julie May, and Kyle Ogden and fiancé, Madeline Gillian as well as two great-grandchildren, Brady May and Wyatt May, each of whom she adored deeply.

Throughout her life, Rheta's unwavering dedication to her family and friends was evident in everything she did. She had a natural ability to make others feel special and loved, offering support and warmth to all who crossed her path. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Her love for Jesus was reflected in her acts of kindness, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and generous heart.

A memorial service in celebration of Rheta's life will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Cypress on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Rheta will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
