Rex Lee DeShazo was born November 30, 1935 in Van Buren, Arkansas and passed away March 3, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma DeShazo, sister, June DeShazo, brothers, JT, David and Donald, and grandson, Paden James Drozd.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Abbie DeShazo, one daughter, Kelly (Barney) Drozd, two sons, Kevin (Kathy) Deshazo and Kent (Patches) DeShazo, along with seven grandchildren: Paul (Jessica) Burk, Marion Long, Katie (Ryan) Laverell, Morgan (Stephanie) Cornor, Parker DeShazo, Carson DeShazo, Holden Gothia, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. with visitation with the family at 10 a.m. at Foundry United Methodist Church-Jones Road Campus, 8350 Jones Road, Houston, Texas 77065.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Foundry UMC or the charity of your choice.
