It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected and tragic loss of Renee Anna Golebiowski, who passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 43. Renee was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend who touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her genuine kindness, selflessness, and unwavering positive spirit.

Renee was born on January 30, 1982, in Rochester, Michigan where she spent her early childhood living on a beautiful hilltop adjacent to a state park in Lake Orion, Michigan.  In 1989, her family relocated to the Klein area of Spring, Texas, where she grew up in the Memorial Northwest Subdivision. She quickly became one of the most admired and well-loved students at Theiss Elementary, Doerre Intermediate School and Klein High School, known for her natural intelligence, elite athleticism and an abundance of charisma.

A standout athlete, Renee devoted much of her youth to soccer, starring as a defense first style, left back for the Challenge Soccer Club. Renee was the definition of a shut-down defender, and she played countless competitive matches across the country. The highlights of her playing days include earning MVP of the Plano Cup, starting roles for multiple South Texas and Regional Finals squads and being selected to the South Texas Olympic Development Program Team.

Renee graduated from Klein High School a year early in 1999 so she could sign a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for the University of San Francisco. Though illness forced her to retire from soccer during the 1999 season, she remained resilient. After a semester at home, she enrolled at Texas Christian University where she studied entrepreneurship in the Neeley School of Business and joined the Pi Phi Sorority.  Renee's magnetic personality made her a campus favorite, and her Fort Worth apartment became a hub of laughter and friendship. She graduated and went on to pursue dual master's degrees at the University of Houston in business and hospitality leadership.

Most of Renee's career was spent in the sales industry where she got to see many wonderful cities and places around the United States and Europe. Effortlessly, Renee could talk to and befriend anyone she met. She had a natural gift for human connection that allowed her to successfully sell fine art, custom patios and new homes. In January 2022, Renee joined her brother's law firm, Michael J. Golebiowski, P.C., as the Operations Manager, where her insight and leadership were invaluable. Most recently, she worked with Partners in Building, helping people build their custom dream homes in the beautiful Texas countryside north of Houston.

Renee's passions extended far beyond her career. She was a self-taught gourmet chef who delighted in cooking for loved ones and exploring new restaurants in Houston and New York City. She cherished music and live festivals, exploring new places through travel, and cheering on the Houston Texans and Houston Astros. She loved spending time outdoors – whether sailing with her father and brother on Galveston Bay, biking or enjoying the beach. Renee treasured her role as aunt to Sadie, Parker, and Andie, offering them unwavering love and trusted guidance. That same support extended to her closest friends, who knew they could always count on her. Renee was a willing and exceptional listener, and her presence brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Renee is survived by her devoted parents, Jan and Teresa Golebiowski; her brother, Michael and sister-in-law, Kristin; her nieces, Sadie, Parker and Andie; her aunt, Anna Yaverski; and her cousins, Adam and Mark Machcinski. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor and privilege of knowing her.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Renee's life will be held at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas 77379 at 11:00AM on Friday, September 26, 2025. Following the service, Renee will be buried at her final resting place at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas 77375.
