It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful and loving mother, Remie Cruz, on November 30th, 2025. She was 82 years old.

Remie, born on January 18th, 1943 to Benigno Salonga and Mercedes Del Rosario in Bulacan, Philippines, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. She was the 5th child of 8 siblings.

In 1965, she met Agapito Cruz and the two were inseparable from that point on. She was married for over 52 years to her soulmate until his passing in 2018. She remained a devoted wife for the rest of her life. They had three children, Evelyn, Tristan and Tobie.

Remie was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Remie, a value she instilled in all those around her. She loved and enjoyed travelling the world but cooking was her passion and one of her biggest talents. Her delicious food was a firm favourite among family and friends and her recipes were repeatedly requested.

Remie was a devout member of her church, Iglesia Ni Cristo. She attended worship services every week of her life and always found great comfort in their teachings.

The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. We miss her deeply and will always cherish the memories of the life she lived with us.

Remie was predeceased by her parents, Benigno and Mercedes, her brothers, Armando and Albert, her sister, Norma and her husband, Agapito. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Evelyn and Robert, Tristan and Margo, Tobie and Jad and her two grandchildren, Griffin and Scarlett.

We all find peace and comfort in knowing that Mom is now in Heaven and reunited with Pops, the love of her life.
