Reginald Morgan Wills ("Papa" "Reg" "Reggie") was born in Crockett, Texas on April 16, 1938, and passed away in Spring, Texas on May 5, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Mae Wills; sister, Nelda Jane Todd; and his son, Reginald Morgan Wills Jr.

Reginald is survived by his wife of 64 years Sarah Sue Wills, children, Sharon Neal and Ronnie Wills; he has eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Reginald moved to Houston, Texas with his family when he was still in elementary school. At 9 years old, he was already a hard worker, borrowing $5 from his mother to buy newspapers which he was able to sell on the corner for a profit and pay mom back. His Senior year in High School his goal was to read a book a day, because of accomplishing his goal he barely passed, graduating from Jefferson Davis in 1956. After graduation, he ushered at a high-end theater in Houston before going to work at Southwestern Bell and his first job there was in the coin department retrieving coins from the pay phones. He took every opportunity to advance himself including taking any course that was offered and worked just about every position over the course of 35 years and he did not like the business office, For Papa, higher education was company education.

One of his greatest loves was when he bought "The Country" the land in Moscow, TX that him, granny and the family cleared, he was proud of the home and place that they built. Reginald loved working on the land, building fires, driving his tractor. Reginald always volunteered for hurricane recovery efforts, even in different states. He loved the challenge, enjoyed growing, helping people but he really enjoyed the per diem. He always drank coffee instead of Coke because you got free refills on coffee, and smoke breaks made him smoke which he did eventually quit. After taking a retirement package from ATT, he went to work for MD Anderson in the telecommunications department for another 10 years. He was a loyal union member, a loyal supporter of The United Way for many years and was a local church member and he believe in GOD and was a Christian man that was saved at the age of 21.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379.  A funeral service for Reginald will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home in Champion Forest, to be followed by a 1pm committal service at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX  77015.
