Reginald “Dusty” E. Morris
With profound sadness, Reginald “Dusty” E. Morris, 71, of Bedias, Texas, embarked on his next adventure with our Lord and Savior on September 11, 2026.
Born on June 3, 1955, in Houston, Texas, Dusty—known to many as “Dusty” or “Reggie”—grew up in Waller. After attending Waller High School, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1977 as a Marksmanship Instructor. During his service, he was awarded the Rifle Expert Badge and the National Defense Service Medal.
Dusty believed in making the most of every day and creating lifelong memories with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He had a one-of-a-kind personality, a quick wit, and a collection of humorous sayings that could bring laughter to those around him. He had a gift for making each day a new adventure.
Through his companies, Shred Docs, Morris Land Clearing, and D & D Ranch Services, Dusty built a life filled with hard work, independence, and memories. One of his greatest accomplishments was creating his final homeplace, The Double D Ranch (“D & D”) in Bedias. He took great pride in his ranch and especially loved spending his days looking out over the land, watching his cows and horses.
Dusty had a lifelong passion for horses. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning the San Antonio and Fort Worth Stock Shows in team penning aboard his favorite horse, “Cinderella Doc.” He also had a passion for race cars and barbecue cook-offs. Dusty was a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he served on the Paint Horse Committee. He treasured his years participating with the “Killin Time Cookers” barbecue cook-off team at the Houston Livestock Show. He was also honored to be the last rookie member accepted into the Maverick Trail Riders.
There are more memories of gatherings with friends and family than can ever be counted. Whether at the ranch, around horses, at a cook-off, or simply sharing stories and laughter, Dusty had a way of making people feel part of his world. His one-of-a-kind personality, humor, generosity, and love of life will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Reginald “Dusty” Morris was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie LaVern Breneman, and stepfather, William “Bill” E. Breneman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie L. Dunn Morris; his son, Jesse Benton Williams, and wife, Christine; his four grandchildren, Shea M. Williams, Sterling R. Williams, Brayden M. Williams, and Lorelei R. Williams; his brother, Billy B. Breneman, and wife, Sherry; as well as many extended family members, cousins, and numerous dear friends.
