Rebecca "Becky" Bernal, was born July 22, 1961 in Raymondville, Texas, to Lazaro Garcia and Francisca Garcia

She married the only boyfriend she ever had, Hector Bernal, Sr. on October 22, 1977. This union was blessed with two sons, Hector Jr and Eric.

Becky found her calling very young in life; it was to be a great wife to Hector and the best mom, not only to her own sons, but to the children of others as well.  She had a gift of showing people that she cared deeply for them.  People would come to her house with no real need or purpose other than to spend time with her and eat her delicious food.  She was an amazing listener and even better person; she was a friend to all.

She was called by Jesus Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, TX.  She died as she lived, surrounded by family.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts and memories of  her family: husband Hector Sr, son Hector Jr, daughter-in-law Lorena, and granddaughters Emily Renee and Kaitlyn Marie; son Eric, daughter-in-law Alicia, and granddaughter Natalie Almaron; her mother Francisca Garcia, father Lazaro Garcia (deceased); her brothers and sisters Daniel Garcia,  Roy Garcia, Lazaro "Bear" Garcia, Ramiro Garcia, Lee Garcia (deceased), Rick Garcia, Rachel Quiroga, and Sherry Guerrero and their spouses; and her in-laws Maria Rita and Jose Hilario Bernal (deceased), Everett and Randee Bernal, Linda and Faustino Cruz, Herbert and Bertha Bernal, Ernesto and Rafela Bernal, Elijio and Bibi Bernal, Larry and Dolly Bernal and numerous devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
