Raymond Edward Schultz was born on Friday, August 13
,
1937, at the family farm in Spring, Texas. His parents were Henry Christian Schultz and Ella Elizabeth Pate. He had three sisters, Anita, Patricia, and Linda. His younger years were spent working on the farm, fishing with his dad, hunting, riding his horse, and playing with his cousins, the Leisner boys, and Buddy Kaiser.
He graduated from Carl Wunsche High School in 1955 and then went to work at Houston Lighting and Power co. He married Sarah Elizabeth Weaver on June 6,
1959, at Lindale Baptist Church. They had three beautiful children, Christine, Raymond Jr., and Timothy Adam, and eight grandchildren. He and Sarah worked together at their tire store and gas stations, the last being ranch foreman at Eagle Ridge Ranch in Mason, Texas before retiring to Conroe where he attended Trail of Life Cowboy Church. He loved the Lord and his church family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were lucky to have him for 60 years. He was devoted to his family and to all of his many friends.
He and Sarah celebrated their 60
th
wedding anniversary with a party on June 9
. The Lord took him home on July 11, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a friend to all and a cowboy to the end.
