Raymond Louis Kimich, 70, of Tomball, left this world for eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2022. Raymond was born August 19, 1951, in Houston, Texas to the late Luke Sylvester Kimich and Mattie Merle (Huse) Kimich.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy Kimich; son, Jeremy (Ashley) Kimich, grandchildren, Brody and Mitzi Kimich, daughter, Jennifer (Wayne) Diehl, granddaughter, Mattie Diehl, daughter, Amanda Kimich (Daniel Sperry), grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, Landon, and Mason, siblings, Kenneth Kimich and Brenda Manak.
His work ethic was formed at a young age as he worked alongside his father at the Kimich Tile Company. After graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1969 he attended Sam Houston State University where he was a member of the ROTC, including the Lowman Rifle Drill Team. After 38 years at The Port of Houston Authority he retired as Assistant Chief of the Marine Fire Department. In addition to raising 3 children during these years he was an active member in many faith based and community organizations. These Included: Knights of Columbus, School Board at St. Charles Borromeo, organized and prepared weekly bingo concessions, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and organized the annual bazaar. He spent many years supporting the FFA Booster Club which all his children participated in. Raymond and Kathy enjoyed going on cruises to celebrate wedding anniversaries, relaxing at the beach house with family and friends, and attending all their grandchildren's many events. Gardening was one of his favorite hobbies. If anyone was in need, Raymond would offer his help before he could be asked. We were so blessed to have Raymond in our lives. Raymond loved his family, our love for him will never die.
