Raymond was well respected and loved by all that knew him. He was born in Bellville, TX on February 5, 1944 to Clark and Bessie Henry. As a child he lived on the F & M Jersey Ranch in Jersey Village, TX and later graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 1962.
He began his career with the Red Adair Co. in 1964, participating in every facet within the company. He worked very closely with Red developing and refining the skills that he used in controlling wild wells all over the world. Raymond was a strong confident leader that developed long lasting relationships that enable him to help start up International Well Control in 1995 which later merged into Boots & Coots in 1997 where he worked until he retired. Upon his retirement Raymond had over 50 years of well control experience. He had extensive domestic and international experience in multiple countries including Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, Egypt, Europe, Kuwait, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South America, and the North Sea.
Raymond's favorite past time when he was not fighting fires was boat racing, fishing, hunting, riding his beloved Harley and spending time with his grandchildren. In his later years he spent most of his time at their property in Round Top, TX enjoying the peaceful country life. This past year, he was surrounded by friends and family at their lake house in Livingston, TX.
