Ray Douglas Horn was born in Pampa, Texas on March 15, 1931. In his almost 89 years,  he enjoyed time with his family, traveling all over the United States, designing stained glass and wood working in his shop and watching Dallas Cowboys football.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Bonnie, and his 7 children: Mark and wife Belinda, Tere', Sandy and husband Tom, Jason and wife Susie, Jeannine, Stephanie and husband Jim, Eric and his beloved cocker spaniel, McKenzie.

Ray was blessed with 13 grandchildren and (15 great-grandchildren) Melony, (Jordan, Hilary, Tabitha) Amy (Noah, Lexi, Zakary, Braylen,) Brittney (Briggs, Bliss,) Darion (Zippy, Clara,) Marquis, Tre' (Sage,) Dillan, Chelsea (Aubrey,) Austin, Megan (Noah, Jonah,) Blake, Dakotah and Drayden.

In his early years, Ray lived in Pampa with his parents and brother JB. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and would then serve his country in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant Aircraft Electrician. Upon returning from war, he worked a variety of jobs in the oil field before beginning his career as an accountant with Mobil Chemical, where he retired in 1991. Most recently, Ray embraced his heritage as a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and enjoyed many trips to the Chickasaw Cultural Center. He was notably recognized by the Chickasaw Warrior Society and thus honored to travel to our nation's capitol to celebrate Veteran's Day.

Ray will be fondly remembered by many for his sense of humor, his love of family, his ability to tell a tale, his kindness toward others and his joy for life. A celebration of his amazing life will be held on Friday, February 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Klein Tomball Funeral Home (1400 W. Main Street, 77375) A Committal Service will follow at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
