God called our beloved sister and daughter Randye Joelle Peters home on Saturday September 28 th , 2019. She is survived by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Peters, her sisters Leonie and Daniele, brother in law Bence, aunts Lucille, Theresa, Jackie, Pam, Anne, Judy, uncle Michael, nieces Eva and Camilla, nephew and godson Oscar and numerous cousins and friends. Randye Peters was born on August 29 th 1974 in Bordeaux, France. She attended St Joseph Convent San Fernando, Trinidad, New Hall Boarding School in England and graduated with a degree in computer engineering from Louisiana State University. She worked with Hewlett Packard for many years as an engineer, a job which took her to multiple countries. She was committed to giving back to her community. She was an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers involved in recruiting and encouraging the next generation of Black engineers. She also volunteered to teach English as a first language to immigrants in Houston. Her funeral will be held on Monday October 7 th at 11 am at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church with visitation to begin at 10 am; 10135 West Road, Houston, TX 77064. No flowers by request.
