Randy Kaye Callaway (66) passed on April 9 th , 2020 at HCA Houston North Cypress Hospital after a brief encounter with lung cancer, and then succumbing to a heart attack.
Born on April 25 th , 1953 in Minden, Louisiana to Ora and H.R. Callaway, proceeded in death. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dorene Callaway. He is also survived by his brother Greg Callaway, nephews, Timothy and Jeffry. Brother-in-law Paul Henes, nephews, Timothy and Steven. Sister-in-laws, Debbie Jarae (husband Larry) and nephews, Justin and Travis. Judy (significant other Paul Elrod).
At the age of 16, Randy moved to Houston and graduated from Airline High School. He then furthered his education at the University of Houston.
Randy was very proud of being a Recording Engineer for Dale Mullins Studio and his favorite past time was playing guitar with bands, including Clint Black's musicians.
Randy's next adventure was owning Richard Heads, a well-known Houston Club and Restaurant.
In 1989, Randy established and operated a remodeling business till present day, an amazing 31 years. Always satisfied clients at Acoata Painting & Remodeling.
Randy, aka Randito (his nickname), was always witty & ready to tell a joke and enjoyed bringing laughter to so many friends and family. He could make up a song at a drop of a hat.
He will surely be missed and loved forever!!
Due to the virus no viewing or funeral will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be at a later date when things clear up.
