Randy A. Ray Born November 20, 1953, in Houston, Texas to Albert A. Ray and Charline C. Ray, He was baptized on December 6, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church- Klein, Texas, and confirmed on March 14, 1967, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Klein Texas; He attended Trinity Lutheran School, and graduated from Klein High School in May 1971. Following high school, he joined the U. S. Navy, and served from 1971 – 1975, where he met his lifelong friend and "sidekick" , Charlie Peterson (Pinehurst, Texas) . After his Navy career, he worked in construction, both residential and commercial, where he was able to use his craftsman skills in numerous situations. He is survived by his mother Charline Jurischk Ray; Children: Charlean Wiggins and husband Mark; Charles Ray and wife, Sharesa; Randi Leigh Nowlin and husband Chris; Brothers: Marty Ray and wife Kim; Carl Ray and wife Tamatha. Sisters: Patty Frank and husband Milton, Karen Plummer and husband Lance; Grandchildren: Brandon Wiggins and Korey Wiggins, Ketcher Ray and Kannon Ray, Al Riley Nowlin; Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Preceding him in death are his father Albert Andrew Ray, and brother Virgil Allen Ray, Randy preferred to take the road less traveled; his sister Patty referred to him as the "conservative nonconformist"; he would sometimes go along to get along, but we knew it troubled him greatly. During his work career, he traveled to many destinations and enjoyed seeing different parts of the country. Being somewhat of a loner, this type of work suited him, and there were times he would be away from his friends and family for extended periods of time, creating a life where his work took him. He was a dreamer, always thinking of something to invent or build, tinkering and working on lofty ideas, hence "the airplane in the driveway"!
