It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randall King Remkes, a beloved rodeo cowboy, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on December 18th, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born July 4th 1947, in Liberty, Texas to the late Leo Remkes and Eugenie "Bobbie" Remkes.
He is survived by his Wife, Gayle Remkes; Daughter, Alicia Hanzo Roach; Son, Kaplyn Remkes; Brother, Reenee Remkes; Sisters, Penelope Suzanne Belew Petrovich and Lacala Remkes Denet; Grandson, Jaxsen Roach; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Known for his grit, heart, and unmatched skill in the rodeo arenas and in the oilfield. He was a man whose strength, character, and dedication left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Whether on horseback or at work, he approached every task with the same dedication and resilience that defined his life. While rodeoing was his passion, Randy was also a hardworking man that worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
Randy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he instilled in them the values of hard work, loyalty, and integrity. His passion for rodeo was only matched by the love for his family.
In accordance with Randy's wishes, there will be no public service. Memorial contributions in Randy's memory may be made to the Houston Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute.
Randy's endearment, tenacity, and love for his family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
