Randall (Randy) Louis Boeller, 67, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at CHI St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was attended by family.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Marilyn (Voss) Boeller; his daughter Rebecca Itkowitz and husband Jordan Itkowitz and sons Max and Evan, of LaGrange, Illinois; his son Joseph Boeller, Sr. and wife Lindsey Tlustos Boeller and sons Joseph Jr. and Tyler, of Stagecoach, Texas; his son John P. Boeller, of Tomball, Texas; and his sister, Jan Boeller Schneider and husband Lonnie Schneider of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Randy was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Erma Lee Sanders Boeller and Emory Louis Boeller. He joined his boyhood friends in adventures that piqued the attentions of parents and police with tossed apples, potato cannons, and sledding. They also tipped the lid of a cookie jar of a few friendly kitchens.

He attended Lincoln University from 1970-1974 and while there, he met his wife Marilyn. They married in December 1972 at St George Catholic Church in Linn, Missouri. Together, they raised their children Becca, Joseph, and John, in Huntsville, Alabama, Richardson, Texas, and Houston, Texas.

After graduating with a bachelor's in Biology, he worked for Chesebrough-Ponds in Jefferson City, and later transferred to Huntsville, Alabama to the Prince Matchabelli division in 1977. In 1984, he accepted a Package Engineering Manager position with Mary Kay Cosmetics in Dallas, Texas, and after 10 years moved to Houston, Texas to work for Compaq (later Hewlett Packard) as Packaging Engineer Program Manager and Packaging Engineer Project Manager. He retired from HP in 2012, and afterwards enjoyed working as Vice President of Global Logistics for Airdex International. At each of these locations, Randy not only met new colleagues, but he and his family also made 'forever friends'.

He shared his many loves with his children - science, fishing, hunting, food, music, and of course, packaging. He also had a passion for travel. In his early years, Randy enjoyed traveling the country with his family along with the Lightfoot family. Throughout his lifetime, he continued to enjoy travel across the country and around the world for business and for pleasure. It was a recent disappointment that he couldn't visit the only state he hadn't set foot in - Montana. Randy enjoyed meeting each year for the last 20 years with some of his forever friends from other states to play endless rounds of golf.

As a Poppy to four beloved grandsons, Randy was delighted to lavish them with one-on-one attention. He took them to catch their first fish, and used his science background to instruct and entertain them with fun experiments. Santa Poppy tickled their chins with his beard, and he let them play with his electric train around the Christmas Tree. Those little faces helped distract him and lighten his spirits these last months.

Randy lived life to the fullest, and we remember him for his hearty laugh and great smile.

Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Klein Funeral Home in Spring and the funeral mass will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18511 Klein Church Road, Spring, Texas, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11a.m.
