Ramona May Allison Rudel 85 passed away February 26, 2024.  Born April 22, 1938 in Mound City, Missouri.  She married R.M. Rudel on August 15, 1958.  She is survived by her children Richard (Karen) Rudel, Charles (Cheryl) Rudel, Kay (Trace) Parham, Roger (Yessenia) Rudel, 5 grandchildren Rich Rudel, Jennie Rudel, Kevin Rudel, Chrissy Rudel, and Faith Rudel, 1 great grandchild Ava Moore, 1 sister Becky (Jerry) Golemon, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband R.M. Rudel, her parents O.M. Allison and Ferne Grace (Cason) Allison, brothers Jack (Hazel) Allison, Bob (Kelly) Allison, Farrell (Audrey) Allison,  sister Darlene (Al) Jacobs, and some nephews.  She worked for Hughes Propane as a teenager and later for the phone company Southwestern Bell until she started her family and became a housewife.  She put her feet in every state west of the Mississippi River, Canada, and Mexico.  She also lived in most of the states west of the Mississippi River.  Her Dad worked on building high voltage power lines with Kellogg and transferred the family every six months from one job to the next.  She would start school in the fall at one school and would transfer in January to a new school.  This made making friends difficult for her, so her best friends were her family.  Nicknamed Moni growing up.  She knitted, crocheted, and sewed (lots of clothes for her kids).  She loved to read mystery, murder mystery, fantasy, romance, and western novels.  Her best bud through life was her brother Bob, they were joined at the hip whether taking care of Dad, Mom, or devouring a fresh home made cherry pie.  When her kids were young, she taught bible school class for the 3 - 4 year olds at the Church of Christ as well as at V.B.S. (Vacation Bible School).  When the Church of Christ ran a bus, she would spend Saturdays baking 12 dozen or more chocolate chip cookies for the kids to have a snack while they were riding the bus to and from church.  She loved board games, card games (canasta was her favorite), dominoes (42 was her favorite), video games, baseball (an avid Astros fan), and volleyball.  She was a wonderful listener who offered good advice without judgement.  She would not let her family leave without her first getting a hug and an "I love you".  She was a devoted Grandma, and dearly loved by her Grandchildren and Great Grandchild as well as some of their cousins on the other side of the family.  Any donations in her honor can be made to Spring Creek Church of Christ marked for Lydia's pantry.
