Ramona Lee McNeill Hughes was born on November 14, 1932 in Austwell to Crystal Lee Thompson McNeill and James Cecil McNeill. She grew up in Corpus Christi and married Andrew Neal Hughes, June 30, 1950.  Ramona became a Licensed Vocational Nurse making the highest grade on her state board in February 1969 and worked in a nursing home in Seguin and hospitals in and around El Campo.  She and Andrew moved to the Palacios area where she went back to college and got her Associate Nursing Degree in May of 1982. She continued to work in hospitals in Victoria, Port Lavaca, and Edna.  Andrew passed away March 22, 1987.  Ramona's last years were spent in Tomball and in Spring, Texas living near her family.  She is survived by Crystal Freels, Van Hughes, and Jane Geron, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  The family plans a service later.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Klein United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
