Obituary

Ralph Eugene Smith, 63, of Waller, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 11,2026. After a short battle with cancer, Ralph was ready to go home. He had a heart the size of Texas and he needed some rest.

Ralph married Debbie Smith on December 12, 2012, at 12:12 p.m. because they knew that it was a once in a lifetime day and time. Their marriage was truly a marriage of faith, love, devotion to family and God and kept them strong through the tough days.

Ralph was not only a devoted husband, but a father, bonus father, grandfather and, most of all, a friend and helper to anyone who ever met him. Ralph was a man of many talents and a giant of a man with the gentleness that was beyond imagination. Ralph was a walking testimony of his faith in Jesus. Whether times were hard or times were easy, Ralph was there to lend a hand and to be a solid rock for anyone to lean on or depend on.

Ralph was quick to tell people that he was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He took great pride in becoming a certified ammonia technician working with refrigeration and anything else that needed repairing wherever he happened to be at the time. He worked at RWC and considered it his greatest accomplishment. He worked at Houston Farm and Ranch Club, volunteered at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Harris County Fair and was a proud member of the Front Line Gang.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; his children, Brant Smith and wife Jessica, Emily Smith, Justin Butterfras, and Micaila Milroy. He is survived by his grandchildren, Harley Didas, Marissa Milroy, Sophie May Smith, Lilly Renee Smith, Wyatt Smith, Graciella Andrade, Harrison Smith and Gerson Andrade.

Ralph is also survived by his sister, Darlene Bryan, and his brother, Jack Smith, his bonus mother, Johnnie "Mimi" Hobbs, his niece Allison Bentke and husband, Michael, nephew Robert Smith and wife Kelly, as well as numerous family members that will miss him tremendously.
